The latest edition of Shimmick Matters features a rail improvement project in San Bernardino, CA. This rail project extends the Metrolink commuter service for the Santa Fe Depot on the west side of town to a new transit center at E Street and Rialto Avenue in downtown San Bernadino.
While the entire state of CA was inundated by the most severe rain, flooding and water related destruction in the past 50 years, a committed group of Shimmick employees continued to work within Alameda Creek in the Sunol Valley.
Also featured are highlights of community efforts, safety and the new website rollout of shimmick.com.
There is a section dedicated to one of Shimmick's original employees who is retiring after 26 years at SCCI.
