Webber Recognized by the Associated General Contractors of America for an “Excellent Safety Record” for 2016

Certificate was presented to Webber on July 10 in Austin, TX at the 27th Annual National AGC Safety Awards. 2016 marks Webber’s 4th year in a row for winning this award.

Archer Western part of joint venture to build new Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – South Capitol Bridgebuilders, a joint venture team comprised of Archer Western and Granite Construction Company has been awarded the South Capitol Street Corridor Phase 1 design-build contract by the District of Columbia Department of Transportation (DDOT). Archer Western holds a 50% share of the joint venture that will be responsible for constructing the $441 million project, with AECOM serving as lead designer.

Granite Construction Joint Venture Team Awarded $165 Million Military Infrastructure Project in Guam

Granite Construction Incorporated (NYSE:GVA) announced today that the joint venture team comprised of Granite and Obayashi Corporation has been awarded a $165 million contract by the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Pacific for the Finegayan Utilities and Site Improvements Phase I project in Finegayan, Guam. Granite’s portion of the contract is 55 percent. As consolidating partner, the total contract award of $165 million will be booked into Granite’s backlog in the third quarter of 2017.
