We’re looking forward to Construction Safety Week, which has been rescheduled for Sept. 14-18, following a delay from our traditional May dates. We hope you all have plans to join us.
Through everything that’s happened in 2020, we have both been reminded of just how proud we are to work in construction. Across the industry, our people and companies have faced the challenges of COVID-19 head on to continue to deliver the crucial infrastructure our communities depend on for clean water, reliable power, safe transportation, accessible health care and so much more.
Even though Construction Safety Week will likely look different this year, with smaller discussions and trainings taking the place of mass meetings and demonstrations, we believe it’s more important now than ever to come together and recommit to safety as the foundation of our industry. Our Built on Safety theme expresses this well. Safety must be the cornerstone of everything we do, from planning an operation, to addressing a global pandemic.
This year we wanted to make it easier than ever to participate in Construction Safety Week. In addition to taking the time to review and assess your company’s safety programs, we encourage everyone to join us in discussions about these important daily topics as follows:

- Tuesday, Sept. 15: Focus on the Fundamentals
- Wednesday, Sept. 16: COVID-19 Safety
- Thursday, Sept. 17: Mental Health Awareness
- Friday, Sept. 18: Thank You, Construction Workers

We hope you find these resources easy to use as you plan for Construction Safety Week at your organizations.
