Zachry was awarded two Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA) projects to widen and reconstruct southern portion of the Beltway 8 (BW8) tollway facility. Both projects widen the toll road from Southwest Freeway (US-59) to the north side of the Houston Ship Channel. This first project (Contract 338) begins South of Spencer Highway to North of Greenshadow Drive along the Sam Houston Tollway East. The second project (Contract 346) begins North of Greenshadow Drive and continues to Jacinto Port Road.
New Biological Nutrient Removal System and New Secondary Clarifier with upgrades to existing facility components to comply with State discharge permit requirements. Completed 9 month early. Went through 3 major scope adjustments during CMAR pre-construction phase with Owner and Design Engineer bringing total cost down from $50 million to just under $30 million.
As part of the Construction Joint Venture within Plenary Infrastructure Belle Chasse (PIBC), Traylor/Massman JV is the design-build joint venture for the Belle Chasse Bridge & Tunnel Replacement Public-Private Partnership Project for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. Belle Chasse Highway (LA 23) is approximately 1.4 miles long, consisting of four lanes with a movable bridge and tunnel. The PIBC team will provide financing, design-build construction, tolling, and long-term operations and maintenance for the three-span continuous steel plate girder main span bridge replacement. Traylor is in the lead at the DBJV level.
This emergency work contract consists of the repair and restoration of existing damaged levee sections in addition to scour protection below the channel bottom.
