Coffman Specialities: Arizona DOT Keeps Tight Schedule on US 60 Interchange Project

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) hopes to soon reopen a section of Bell Road in Surprise, Arizona, that has been closed since April. The road was closed as part of a project to construct a new Bell Road bridge over U.S. 60 (Grand Avenue) and the adjacent BSNF railroad tracks. With the aim of increasing safety and reducing congestion, the bridge is replacing the previous ground-level intersection and crossing.

Ferrovial increases its majority stake in the North Carolina I-77 Managed Lanes project

Ferrovial, through its highway subsidiary Cintra, has agreed with one of the existing shareholders to acquire an additional 15 percent of I-77 Mobility Partners (I-77MP), the company developing and operating the I-77 Express Lanes project, increasing its stake in the venture located in North Carolina in the United States. The operation is valued at $77.7 million dollars (about 65.7 million euros) plus a deferred payment based on the asset’s performance in June 2024 estimated at $2.7 million dollars (about 2.3 million euros). The move increases Ferrovial’s share of the partnership from 50.1 percent to 65.1 percent. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2020.

This Holiday Season, Flatiron Shows Its Giving Side

In a year where the COVID-19 pandemic has put millions of people out of work and cost hundreds of thousands of lives, Flatiron employees did not forget the less fortunate this holiday season. For the fourth year, Colorado District Office workers collected gifts for the Adams 14 School District in Commerce City. The educators are always thrilled to see Flatiron make the donation delivery.

Stork Awarded Maintenance Contract by Sitech in the Netherlands

Fluor Corporation (NYSE: FLR) announced today that Stork, part of Fluor’s Diversified Services segment, was awarded a 26-month maintenance contract extension by Sitech Manufacturing Services in the Netherlands. Fluor will book the undisclosed value in the fourth quarter of 2020.
